Homeworks for the week (01/09/2008 - 05/09/2008 - wk 7)

3D Design
-Find 10 pics on the object, animal etc that you have chosen to work on.
-Prepare sketches on the chosen animal, object etc and do a sketch on your 3D design that you have developed.

Drawing and compo
-The white pastel shading on black pastel paper. For those absent, we are suppose to draw the tea set picture on the handout that was given out during wk 5 or 6's lesson.

Photography
-Take 20 pics on the theme that we have chosed for out very first assignment.
-However, pics are to be taken, applying all the skills we have learnt - Tones, reflection, s/s, aperture etc.

Creative process
-Wk 7's assignment - visually describe the taste of your favourite food. Describe frm the moment you see the food --> goes into your mouth -->chew--> swallow.

-Wk 8's assignment*- Group work. Using the pictures given on the handout, create a storyline which can be presented in a poster, campaign or design. You may use more than 1 A4 sheet. Pictures given on the handout can be enlarged or cropped. However, min 5 out of the 6 pictures must be used. No other pictures can be added except shaped, lines and dots and your own backdrop for your design.

Advertising
-Group work. Prepare a design brief for a Nike event.

Graphic Design
-Redo the 16 X 12 picture into a better one and it is to be handed in as a final piece.

Illustration
-Illustration ppl, pls provide the info. =)

Design Elements
-Wk 7's assignment-Create dominance using value, contrast and space.
-Use 2 10 X 10 squares on 1 paper. Do 3 sets.
-Making use of only dots, line and basic shapes to create a storyline.
-The content drawn must have a storyline and also portrays the 3 aspects - value, contrast and space.
-Must color and title each work.

-Wk 8's assignment-Create 3 different cropped images using week 04's portrait. (the portrait that we drewed in color)
-1 10X10 square shows a cropped area of actual size portrait.
-1 10X10 square shows an enlarged section of the portrait.
-1 10X10 square shows a cropped area of different orientation.

Reminder:

-There will be no CREATIVE PROCESS and DESIGN ELEMENTS classes on wk 8 and 9. Pls remember to prepare the files for both CP and DE. Title all your works and also label your assigments.

*The wk 8's CP assignment is supposed to be a group work. groups has been assigned. those absent for friday's lesson, will form up together as 1 group.

-Pls look for Michael for the handouts given out for Friday lesson if you are absent. There are 2 sets for DE and 1 set only for CP.

-For those who were absent for Dwg and Comp class and hasn't buy the items for this week's assignment, you are supposed to buy:

-black pastel paper. thick or thin also can but must be rough surfaced. Cut them into A3 size.
-Derwent white pastel pencil. Sharpen only with pen knife. Rub with only normal eraser.
-paper pencil a.k.a tortillion.
